Eastlake

Cadillac Fairview Homes West of Newport Beach, hired by the H.G. Fenton Company, planned to zone around 3,200 acres near Chula Vista. 1982, The Eastlake Company developed the land after obtaining approval from the Chula Vista City Council. In 1986, the grand opening of Eastlake I occurred. The Eastlake Homes development included business centers, parks, and schools. Safe, healthy living and a serene community became a reality. The Eastlake communities offer single-family detached homes predominantly with a few condominiums and luxury rental townhomes like the CasaLago Eastlake townhomes. Each subdivision maintains its own homeowner’s associations with HOA fees supporting common areas, parks, and community pools. The best-researched book about Eastlake written by Steven Schoenherr describes the History of Chula Vista from 1911 to 2011. It includes this description: “Eastlake rose from the barley fields of Rancho Janal to become a complete, planned community.”
